Just created the WordPress instance on AWS Lightsail and was able to successfully move my domain to it. So far, works OK. I’ll need to change the default theme and do some other tweaks … we’ll get to it. Now it’s bedtime/reading time. Good night!

Done with the project. Got A+. Done with the school (for now). Starting new job on Monday, May 12, at Global TV Calgary.
Final project
Working on a final master control project for the school – no time for anything else until April 15th. After that, we’ll see. Probably will write more on this pages.

Major renovation
Spring is close. We are still getting some snow, but you can feel the spring in the air. It’s time for major renovations – even this blog is up to it. So, I won’t rant too much, I have work to do.

Kernel panic? Server dead!
Well, my server with clarkconnect linux died a couple days ago. Kernel panicked and I didn’t have time to fix it. I just killed it, and installed IPCop instead. Works fine, so far. It’s an old box, Celeron 433MHz , 128Mb RAM and 4.3Gb HD. Little bit an overkill for the task, status said that average idle cpu is 98.79% and average free memory is 42.09%. Swap usage is 0 (zero).
So, that means that there is no more poprzen.pointclark.net. Gone. There is an extra NIC in the ipcop box for DMZ. Web server will be alive again, but not with clarkconnect linux. I do not have nothing against it, just want to try something new. Maybe gentoo, or debian? I don’t know yet. Have to find decent and cheap old box for it.

After more than a year of using wordpress on my home server, I found out that nice people from wordpress.com are giving space to waste. Thank you, wordpress!
So, here I am, starting my new/old blog. It will take few days to move some of the articles. Also, have to notify people who were visiting the old pages. Well, it’s Christmas time, reason to contact them anyway. It will be fun here, I guess.
